General Information About Izmir Kavram Vocational School

Izmir Kavram Vocational School is a foundation higher education institution established by the Kavram Education Foundation with the Council of Ministers’ decision dated 12.07.2008 and numbered 2008/13861.

The school began its academic activities in the 2008–2009 academic year. Later, based on the Council of Ministers’ decision numbered 2018/11351, published in the Official Gazette dated March 15, 2018 (Issue No. 30361), the campus of Istanbul Kavram Vocational School was relocated to the city of Izmir, and the institution was renamed as Izmir Kavram Vocational School. It officially began offering education in Izmir in the 2018–2019 academic year.

Izmir Kavram Vocational School operates with the goal of filling the gap in vocational education in Turkey, meeting the demand for qualified intermediate staff, and facilitating student transition to advanced stages of higher education (DGS – Vertical Transfer Exam).

The school is governed by the Board of Trustees, the Director of the School, the School Council, and the School Administrative Board.
